Samsung unveils the Galaxy Pocket: Samsung's most affordable Android smartphone
Samsung just unveiled the budget Android smartphone called the Galaxy Pocket, that packs an entry levels specs and aims to become one of the most affordable smartphones in the market. The Galaxy Pocket comes with a single-core 832 MHz processor, 2.8-inch QVGA (240x320) display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with TouchWiz interface, 3GB of internal storage, microSD up to 32GB, 2 megapixel fixed focus camera, 3.5mm audio jack, Stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.6 Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, ChatON, Samsung Apps and 1200mAh battery
The Samsung Galaxy Pocket will be available in the UK later this year first and then the rest of the world. The price of the device is still unknown.
Update: According to SammyHub, the phone will be available in Netherlands from Q2 2012 with a price of 139 euros (Php7,800).
Update: The Samsung Galaxy Pocket will also be available in Italy from March followed by other European markets, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and China.
