Cherry Mobile outs Flare S2 with Sony's IMX 179 camera sensor, priced at Php4,699! (Updated)

Cherry Mobile recently announced on their Facebook page its latest addition to the best-selling Flare family, the Cherry Mobile Flare S2. According to the company, the Flare S2 is equipped with a Sony IMX 179 CMOS sensor, the same sensor that powers the Google Nexus 5’s 8MP rear camera and will greatly improve its performance in photography. The Cherry Mobile Flare S2 is equipped with a 4.5-inch IPS display with FWVGA (854x480) resolution and On-Cell touchscreen panel, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT65282M processor with 416MHz Mali-400MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot), 1,800mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. On the camera side, the device comes with an 8MP main camera with dual LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera.
The Flare S2 also supports dual SIM functionality, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, A-GPS and is capable of handling 3G/HSPA+ network. For only Php4,699 (SRP), the Cherry Mobile Flare S2 comes with a free suction cup and will be available at different Cherry Mobile outlets nationwide this month.

Nice specs at a very affordable price. :D
ReplyDeleteBut for those who know Nexus 5 has a bad camera. Not a bad, terrible but is outperformed by others in its class. Though video quality is the only good thing about it.
