Android Market has now reached 10 billion downloads since its opening
According to Google, Android Market has now exceeded 10 billion app downloads since its opening with a growth rate of one billion app downloads per month. But the Android Market does have some competition like Apple's App Store which in July announced that since opening it had 15 billion apps downloaded.
To celebrate the Android Market milestone, Google partnered with some of the Android developers who contributed to this milestone to a 10-day celebration with 10 apps on sale for 10 cents.
