Samsung announces a WiMAX variant of the Galaxy S II in Japan

Samsung announced a WiMAX version of its popular Galaxy S II smartphone and will be exclusively released by KDDI in Japan. The Galaxy S II WiMAX will come with a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor, 16GB internal memory, Android 2.3 OS, 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280×720) display, 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and microSD card slot.

The phone exact pricing or release date is still not available at the moment.
