Alcatel OneTouch Blaze 990 upgrade from Android 2.2 to 2.3 is now available online!



Alcatel Mobile Philippines just announced today on their Facebook page that the Blaze 990 will be receiving free updates of Android 2.3 Gingerbread online. That's good news to those who are waiting for the free updates of Android 2.3 on their Alcatel OneTouch Blaze 990. Instead of taking their phone to the Alcatel Customer Service Center, all they have to do is to download the software online then upgrade.

To upgrade just visit Alcatel Mobile website, then download the One Touch Upgrade software or you can directly download the software at the source below.

Update: (02/06/12) Some users complain that the One Touch Upgrade software didn't work for them, one user said it freezes at 20% and stops. If you have some trouble updating your phone just give us a comment below.
Update: (05/22/12) Alcatel One Touch Blaze 990 now retails for just Php6,999 only. That's Php1,000 cheaper from its original SRP of Php7,999. Read more

  7. Yes in the Philippines only and I don't know if it is available elsewhere but I see in some forum that in Russia it is already available, but you can try once the server issue is fix maybe you can also update your phone online.

    Even here many users are already tired of updating online you can see that at Alcatel's Facebook page at the source above. That's why some are suggesting to go to the nearest Alcatel Customer Service Center for the free upgrade. BTW some users here has already upgraded to gingerbread v2.3.4 since February 8.

  9.  Hey guys. It's for the Philippines only. Some users complain about updating online even here, others decided that the best way to upgrade is to bring your phone, receipt and warranty card to the nearest Alcatel Customer Service Center here in the country for the free update and it only took them two hours to upgrade..
