D-Link unveils the first Wireless Cloud Camera incorporating a Fisheye Lens for 360° Monitoring
D-Link just announced the launch of two new mydlink-enabled ip cameras – the DCS-6010L & DCS-7010L. Ideal for homeowners and businesses which require surveying a large area, but would prefer not to operate multiple cameras, the Fisheye IP Camera (DCS-6010L) is a mydlink-enabled IP surveillance system with unconventional fisheye lens and integrated image-processor that provides users with a full 360° view when mounted on a ceiling, floor, or table. More details after the jump.
Since there are no motoring parts like traditional PTZ models, users can survey an entire room silently and discreetly, with no blind spots or distortion. Equipped with a durable, rugged housing (IP-66 Weatherproof), Megapixel image sensor and a powerful IP LED illuminator, the DCS-7010L is an ideal solution for all-day outdoor surveillance.
All mydlink-enabled cameras come integrate with the mydlink platform for remote viewing and management from a PC or mobile device like an iOS/Android™ tablet or phone. Installation and setup is easy thanks to the Zero Configuration feature of D-Link Cloud Routers. Cameras connected to a D-Link Cloud Router, wirelessly or via an Ethernet cable, will automatically register themselves with the customer’s mydlink account for immediate use. No additional setup is necessary, so even users with limited technical knowledge will find installation straightforward.
Unlike traditional surveillance cameras, mydlink-enabled Cloud Cameras are highly adaptable IP cameras that allow users to remotely access their camera’s video from any Internet-connected PC or mobile device. Cameras can easily be set up by users with no technical knowledge. Each Cloud Camera is a self-contained system with a built-in CPU and web server, allowing it to monitor an area without requiring a PC. Live and recorded camera video can then be viewed through the mydlink website or through the mobile app for iOS/Android devices.
