Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8 now official: Price, Specs and Availability in the Philippines

Samsung just unveiled today in Korea a 5.8-inch Galaxy S III look alike pocket media player called the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8. The Android-powered Galaxy Player 5.8 also comes with a built-in stereo speakers that provide a rich multimedia experience and a rich educational content to provide the best learning experience, including the learning hub, dictionary and a variety of internet services. The Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8 comes with 5.8-inch qHD (960×540) display in the front, high-quality stereo speakers, TV quality technology optimized for mobile devices called mDNIe (Mobile Digital Natural Engine), Samsung's own sound field technology called Sound Alive to provide the best environment for the use of various multimedia content, including video lectures. In addition, the PMP also comes with a VGA front-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, MicroSD card support, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2,500mAh high-capacity battery.

On the software side, the Galaxy Player 5.8 comes with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS with TouchWiz UI, a dedicated education portal called Learning Hub as well as Megastudy and EBS lectures. The Galaxy Player also offers a variety of content, including specialized Doosan Dong-A Prime pre-integrated services.
