Smart, PhilWorld Travel provide best roaming experience

Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently partnered with Philippine World Travel-Lufthansa City Center (PhilWorld Travel) to provide travelling guests relevant information regarding domestic and international roaming. More details after the jump.

Facilitated by the Global Access Group of Smart, the agreement with PhilWorld Travel allows the telco leader to provide international services material on ticket jackets as well as international roaming information on the online ticket like a step-by-step guide on how to activate voice and data roaming services.

Information regarding Smart’s flat rate data roaming plan will also be provided.

“For only US$10/day, travelers can avoid the bill shock phenomenon by availing of Smart’s flat rate data roaming service.  This service is available across roaming partners belonging to the Conexus Alliance in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines,” said International Services Senior Manager Jonathan Huertas.

PhilWorld Travel Vice President Cynthia Limjap said, “With the airline industry becoming very competitive, we are innovating new ways on adding value for our customers’ benefit.  Providing information on how to save on communication expenses while they are abroad is one of them”.

Global Access Group Head Tina Mariano added, “Even when travelling, we want passengers to remain connected to their loved ones, feel secured even in a different country and, ultimately, allow them to live more.”

Under the agreement, PhilWorld Travel will also offer Smart Pinoy SIM and top up cards while Smart will also provide roaming rental phones for PhilWorld Travel’s VIP/regular customers.
