A total of 77 lucky job seekers hired on the spot during PESO one-day job fair

A total of 77 lucky job seekers were immediately employed by private companies at the close of the one-day job fair organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) here Thursday, Sept. 20. Hired on the spot were 21 males and 56 female applicants in various jobs offered during the activity.

“We are happy that there were job applicants who were instantly hired. Iloilo City is truly rich in human resources,” Mayor Jed Patrick E. Mabilog said.

There were 697 qualified applicants in all who flocked to Jaro covered gym where the job fair was held. Forty-nine local agencies and 16 companies for employment abroad participated in the event.

The job fair coincided with the birthday of the chief executive who made it a point to have a service-oriented activity as part of the celebration.
