Ford Philippines August Sales Given Boost by All-New Focus
Ford Philippines recently reported August retail sales of 574 units, reflecting the impact of the recent monsoons and flooding experienced across the country last month. The start of deliveries of the all-new Ford Focus in the last week of the month gave a boost the company’s overall performance, with retail sales of 42 units adding to the August total.
“The all-new Focus is the latest proof point of our commitment to offering our customers best-in-class vehicles,” said Randy Krieger, president, Ford Group Philippines. “Packed with several first-in-market and first-in-segment technologies, the all-new Focus significantly raises the bar in the compact segment.”
In support of the official launch of the next all-new global One Ford vehicle for the Philippine market, Ford kicked-off its “All-New Focus…Start it. Share it. Win it.” campaign in August. This exciting, interactive and unprecedented campaign is designed to engage Filipino consumers with real-life ‘smart-demos’ of two of the all-new Ford Focus’ smart technologies – Active Park Assist and Active City Stop.
The campaign will culminate in October, with one participant winning an all-new Ford Focus Titanium+.
August sales of the popular Ford Everest family SUV were robust, rising 113 percent from the previous month to 264 units.
In August, Ford held an exclusive test drive of the Ford Mustang for VIP clientele and media to further build excitement around the sports car, ahead of its official launch in the Philippines later this month. The iconic Mustang – available in 3.7L Mustang V6 Premium and 5.0L Mustang V8 GT Premium variants – has already attracted more than 70 bookings.
Ford is on track to add 12 new locations to its authorized dealer network to help support the company’s aggressive growth plan in the Philippines. The new dealership locations include Baguio, Bohol, Butuan, Cainta, General Santos, Isabella, Laoag, Makati, Manila Bay, Naga, Tarlac and Zamboanga.
