Globe and Smart the first in Asia to get the much-awaited iPhone 5 this September?

After announcing that they will be offering the new Nano-SIMs in Globe Stores this September. This time, Globe Telecom is sending an announcement to all of its postpaid customers via SMS about a new phone waiting to be launched this September, with "iP5" as a hint. According to Smart chief wireless advisor, Orlando Vea at an interview at the Asian Carriers’ Conference (ACC), that Apple is eyeing the Philippines as one of its first markets for the new phone because of the Philippines' high consumption of social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
