MyPhone has finally launched its newest PINOY Android Phone called MyPhone A848i Duo, an updated version of the MyPhone A848 Duo with the speed of a dual-core processor and 3G connectivity. While the Cherry Mobile Flare is the first ever dual-core Android ICS smartphone in the market with an unbelievably low price of Php3,999 only! With that a lot of people are asking which is better between the two? So, Aside from their looks, can you really tell the difference between the two? If you can see both the Cherry Mobile Flare and the MyPhone A848i Duo have the same RAM, internal storage, both have GPU's that can play Angry Birds, Bad Piggies, Temple Run and is compatible with Adobe Flash, but the MyPhone A848i Duo edges the Cherry Mobile Flare with its 5-point multi-touch feature, 720p HD video recording, TV-out support and bigger battery capacity, while the Cherry Mobile Flare only edges the MyPhone A848i Duo with its unbelievably low price of just Php3,999 only!

Update:
- The MediaTek MT6577 is faster than the Qualcomm MSM8625 S4. The MT6577 is a dual-core Cortex A9 while the MSM8625 S4 is a dual-core Cortex A5. The A5 is more efficient, but peak performance the A9 beats it handily. However, it the speed difference is pretty negligible for general usage. It'll only be apparent in benchmarks and games. - Cherry Mobile just released the much anticipated software update for the Cherry Mobile Flare on their service centers nationwide. The new software update (Build number: TBW592241_8572_V000031) covers the most common issues that were present in the Flare like G-sensor, SMS (auto-rotate), support for FM Radio and others.     Yeah! Ang ganda talaga ng a848i! Linaw din ng camera sobra, pati ung Video
    recording HD 720p at 30fps talaga unlike sa flare (sa new jb update nila, 720p pero laggy ung video kasi hindi siya 30fps, pati camera hindi masyado maganda color quality). Nagtataka nga ako
    bakit ang daming gustong makakuha ng Cherry Mobile Flare ngayon, hindi siguro
    sila aware sa existence ng MP A848i Duo, ngayon same price nalang sila
    at 3990~ pero di hamak na panalong panalo a848i duo sa specs, performance, and quality vs Flare!

    I really love my myPhone a818! even if it was used by my brother and have just to give it to me because he has a Blackberry now. My brother also plans to buy this Gadget (CM FLARE) because of the quality and specs!

    Although he finds it slow (the myphone a818 not a848i) and has no 3g function only 2g, he was thankful that he had that such wonderful phone like that and recommends it for me as a starters phone for android users. :D

    di po. mas maganda pa rin po ang performance at durability ng a848i, kaya tama lang ung presyo (6k nalang!). hanggang ngayon nagpapa-sale sila nang paulit-ulit at ung presyo laging 4.5 or 4.6k...

    Just wanna share my frustration with regard to myphone A848i. . . I bought my phone last January 2013 at Gaisano City here in Cagayan de Oro City. After a week of utilizing the phone, it started to quit working and it's no longer turning on. I brought it back to the store and asked for replacement.Unfortunately the company doesn't have replacement if it is more than 7 days, which kinda odd, so they took phone I let them bring to the service center.I thought I can get it in less than a week, but sadly I waited for a month to have my phone back. 2 weeks after getting my phone back from repair, It started not to function correctly, it was no longer detecting any sim card. I brought it back again to the store from where I bought it. I already set my mind for the possibility. It's going to be another month. Up until now, I haven't got the phone back. I'ts more than a month.The phone is a piece of garbage and the service was a nightmare!!!. I will not recommend MyPhone for most of my clients. Value your money, don't buy this piece of shit!!!!

    It's such a pity that the Flare won against the A848i Duo over the price. The MyPhone A848i is truly a much better device. I've held both devices for quite a while and I prefer the A848i much more than I do with the Flare.

    Advantage: install apps to sd.. long battery life.. speed up the unit... making back up, install new rom, new appearance... and you can gain full control of the unit.. that's why it is called "ROOT"

    Disadvantage: Your phone/device might get bricked... or useless.... (like carrying a brick in your pocket

    and your phone/device warranty will be lost

    (root at your own risk) ^_^ (take it to the experts)

    root is for android powered devices

    jailbreak is for the ios
