Micromax A116 Canvas HD now official! 5-inch HD IPS display, quad-core MediaTek processor

Micromax, India's leading handset manufacture just announced its partnership with MediaTek, the leading chipset manufacturers for the launch of their first quad core processor phone – Micromax A116 Canvas HD. Designed for comfort and convenience, the Canvas HD is powered by MediaTek's MT6589 1.2 GHz quad core processor and run on Android Jelly Bean. With an HD IPS screen with a HD resolution of 1280x720 and a color depth of 16.7 million, the phone comes with superb graphics and HD viewing experience. Supported by a 2100mAh battery, it is the ideal phone for the young generation who is always on the lookout for better, faster and savvier smart phones on the go!

The A116 Canvas HD promises superior quality graphics, multi-tasking and improved application performance. The phone sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and multiple camera settings such as night mode, 4X zoom - to further enhance the superiority of the memorable moments. 3G enabled A116 will help users in faster browsing, downloading attachments and watching streaming videos with excellent quality. The users can download HD quality videos and watch them on their phone without compromising with the quality.     Since many a Micromax become Myphones, So they might make this their MyPhone 999 and sell it for 9,999. Pure speculation, But do hope MyPhone will be bringing this here sooner than later, this would blow Cherry Mobile's hyped and upcoming Omega out of the water...

    sabi sa myphone a919 group naka kontrata na daw ke myphone yan. but i doubt na bababa sa 15k yan.. kse 11,400 na ung price sa india eh..malamang sumabay xa sa presyo ng huwaei or zte..

    My bad Whizkid, if I have offended ur senses. If u have observed my post was so 3 mos. ago, the specs weren't completely given yet& has not been updated yet. Try to read the thread below w/the admin correcting his post re:front cam. Duh.

    sana naman makuha na ng mga local brand natin ito lalo na ng myphone matagal-tagal narin silang walang nila2bas na bago, last year pa yung a919 at a888
