Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0: Specs, Price and Availability in the Philippines

Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0: Cherry's first quad-core Android smartphone for only Php6,999!

Along with the Cherry Mobile Omega HD! Cherry Mobile also unveiled their first-ever quad-core Android smartphone powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 processor called the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0! For only Php6,999 (SRP), the Flame 2.0 (also known as Karbonn S1 Titanium in India) boasts a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display with OGS technology, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera, 1,600mAh battery and runs Android 4.1 Jellybean. More about the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 specs and features after the jump.

Another amazing feature of the Cherry Mobile Flame 2.0 that makes itself stand out among the mainstream Android phones in the market is the Picture-in-Picture Function, which is very similar to Samsung Galaxy S4’s Dual-Camera feature where you can simultaneously take photos and videos using the rear and front cameras, while the One Glass Solution (OGS) Technology, sometimes referred to as Direct Pattern Window (DPW) or Sensor on Lens (SOL), is a new method of Touch Panel manufacturing that deposits an ITO layer directly underneath the cover lens of the touch panel. This stack up pattern creates a panel that is thinner, lighter and more optically clear. It has already been successfully integrated into several high profile applications, particularly mobile phones and tablets.

  1. I've seen the iphone 5 specs and im a little surprise it only has 1440 mAh battery. so theoretically flame 2.0 1600 mAh battery is not bad at all.. but comparing it to apple doesn't seem to be right knowing CM is just a local brand. but a personal hands on would be best to test its battery life.(srry kung may pa ka awkward english ko hindi po kasi ako magaling dun :))

  2. u know iphone is li-po.. and that is li-ion..
and li-po is more nice if u know because if you charge it .. its very fast than li-ion... so the iphone is only 1440 li-po battery because if you charge it.. its very fast to be full.... :)

  5. wear and tear pre...syempre mas lagi mo ginagamit mas iikli buhay ng unit mo...pag di masisira edi ultimate phone na di ka na magpapalit...
base on exp. sa powbank e ganun din naman...lobat nga edi charge ulit...

  6. nope,, we cant say the battery will be worse here,, remember that its quadcore powered cpu,,
meaning,, all its processing time will be lessen
so imbes na maubos ang battery mo sa loading time ng mga android processes ,, mas mabilis matatapos yun,, and mas mabilis mapupunta sa deep sleep ang battery :D

  7. I think with more cores, the more juice it needs to power up than the power it consumes via the speed of the processor.

  8. okay na okay na sana.. the only problem it faces is the battery life.. when you talk about smartphones kasi this days it includes games videos picture takings messaging downloads surfing etc. and shorter battery life ruins everything..

  13. Yes, definitely. If it may only got a little bit higher, like 2000 mAh :D
Otherwise, batt modders are going to punish this one xD

  14. how about when you actively using your phone? so it means naka on lagi ung screen (ex. watching movie) 1600mah? maybe it will last long for about 4-5hrs. sa gaming (3d) maybe 3-4 hrs.

  15. Sabi ng mga users nito po parang same sa Flare/Flame 1 ung GPU performance. Mas mabilis lng ng konti dahil quad-core ung CPU.

  16. quad-core tapos Adreno 203 GPU. malag parin ba yung games nun?

  17. no its not...i think its a good phone for its price...
why dont buy powerbank to solve the battery issue

  18. The phone comes with a FREE Cherry Mobile PowerBank until May 31, 2013 :)

  19. The battery might be a letdown though. 1600mah sems to be uderwhelming for the model's specs. Baka 2x a day ka rin magcharge.

  20. there were some people out there selling ported battery for some android devices...for this unit im sure there will be one too...XD

  21. The most important part of a mobile phone is the batt not the specs. This one is a failure, it wouldn't last a day of moderate use. Every smart guys would've forked out a li'l bit more bucks for an added 500 or more mAh of batt juice.
