X-Play announces StarCraft II Vengeance Cup: Philippine Nationals Tournament this April!

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm is now available in the Philippines for only P1,795 (Standard Edition)

X-Play Online Inc, a subsidiary of IP e-Games, recently announced the StarCraft II Vengeance Cup: Philippine Nationals Tournament. This is in line with today’s exciting launch of Blizzard Entertainment’s StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, the next chapter in the epic saga of StarCraft II, at the Extreme Gaming Grounds (EGG) in Shoppesville, Greenhills in San Juan. X-Play Online Games Inc. is the exclusive, retail distributor in the Philippines, of Blizzard products including StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Standard Edition and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm Collector’s Edition.

The StarCraft II Vengeance Cup: Philippine Nationals Tournament will commence from April until June 2013, with a Php 250,000 prize pool awaiting eager gamers.

More than the prize money, the top two winners of the The StarCraft II Vengeance Cup: Philippine Nationals will represent the country in the The StarCraft II Vengeance Cup SEA Finals in Bangkok, Thailand.

To join the tournament and other exclusive StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm events and promos from X-Play, one must:

• Must get a copy of the SC2 HOTS box (Standard Edition - Php1,795 | Collector’s Edition - Php4,995) with the sticker “For Philippine Distribution Only” and an 8-digit alphanumeric code.
• Register the 8-digit alphanumeric code at www.xplay.com.ph/hots
• Complete the necessary information needed and click submit.
• Only those who registered are the ones eligible to join the tournament.

From April to May, there will be 100 elimination legs in cafes nationwide. Announcement of elimination legs will be posted at www.xplay.ph. Semi-finals and finals will happen in June 2013.

The StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is now being offered at Php1,395, which needs to be installed in order to play StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.
