Smart doubles Smart Bro Starter Plug-it and Power Plug-it speeds, same affordable price!

Smart Bro users can now enjoy up to two times faster data connections as wireless leader Smart Communications (Smart) increases maximum download speeds for its Starter and Power Plug-Its to 7.2Mbps and 12Mbps, respectively. More details after the jump.

“We’ve increased the top connection speeds of our Plug Its so that Smart Bro subs can explore more of the Internet on the country’s first and only 100% super-charged network,” said Smart Broadband Internet and Data Services Head Lloyd Manaloto.

Available on both prepaid and postpaid, the Smart Bro Starter Plug-It (P995) and the Smart Bro Power Plug-It (P1,245) enable portable devices such as laptops and tablets to surf the web wirelessly on Smart’s super-charged mobile network.

“Subscribers can instantly connect to Smart’s superior 3G and HSPA+ service thanks to the preloaded unlimited surfing pack right out of the box,” said Manaloto.

“They can continue using the service at the affordable rate of P10 for every 30 minutes or by availing of any of our special prepaid packages,” he added.

Manaloto refers to the range of Unlisurf and Always On data “sachets” which are available to all Smart Bro users.

With Unlisurf and Always on, subscribers can surf the web at prices that fit their individual usage habits and budgets. Heavy downloaders and video streaming aficionados, for example could avail of the 1-day, 2-day, or 5-day Unlisurf packs while casual users can avail of the volume-based Always On offerings.
