Canon launches its first-ever line of Full HD IP Security cameras

Canon has introduced its first-ever line of Full HD IP Security cameras. Integrating sophisticated technologies derived from Canon’s world-famous digital cameras and HD lenses, the three new products include VB-H41, VB-C500D and VB-H610D. More details after the jump.

Canon VB-H41 Full HD PTZ IP Security Camera

The VB-H41 Full HD PTZ IP Security Camera is a Pan/Tilt/Zoom network camera that brings a new level of performance and image quality to the security camera market. This ONVIF Profile S conformant product boasts a Canon 20x Optical Zoom, and Canon’s DIGIC DV III image processor producing the best image quality in its class.

This new lens was also designed to maximize the camera’s low light performance, allowing the VB-H41 to provide color video down to 0.4 lux and black/white video down to 0.02 lux making it ideal for areas subject to the most challenging low light conditions.

The VB-H41 is loaded with sophisticated On-board Video Analytics and functions that allow the VB-H41 to be tailored to fit your monitoring needs, while SSL support and a built-in SD Memory Card slot add to the reliability and security of your monitored video. The VB-H41′s 2.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor provides images with more detail than a VGA security camera, and can be streamed with low bandwidth utilization and disk space usage thanks to the H.264 Codec.

Canon VB-H610D Full HD Fixed Dome IP Security Camera
The VB-H610D Full HD Fixed Dome IP Security Camera combines impressive functionality and superb image quality with Canon’s DIGIC DV III image processor and advanced control capability. A wide variety of applications are suited for employing the VB-H610D, with financial, utility, military, government, airport, retail and casino gaming operations particularly well-matched. ONVIF Profile S conformant, the VB-H610D is designed for easy installation and exceptional low light performance.

The VB-H610D is equipped with Canon’s Remote Adjustment Function which allows the Pan/ Tilt/ Rotation/ Zoom and Focus to be set from a remote location after installation. The 111 degree wide angle lens on the VB-H610D was designed to maximize the camera’s low light performance, allowing it to provide color video down to 0.3 lux and black/white video down to 0.015 lux. It also offers an impressive range of sophisticated On-board Video Analytics, with a number of set triggers, including Moving, Removed and Abandoned Object Detection and Passing Detection.

With the VB-H610D you may choose up to 20 digital preset camera positions and combine them as you wish to create a custom tour. The camera’s exceptional 2.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor provides images with exponentially more detail than a VGA security camera and has a maximum frame rate of 30fps at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Still, it can be streamed with low bandwidth utilization and disk space usage thanks to the H.264 Codec, which allows video to be streamed at eight different rates – 1/2/3/5/6/10/15/ or 30/fps. Since the VB-H610D is also SDXC Memory Card compatible, more video than ever can be stored by the camera.

The VB-H610VE Full HD Vandal Resistant Fixed Dome IP Security Camera combines outstanding durability and capability, advanced control capability, and superb image quality with Canon’s DIGIC DV III image processor. A wide variety of applications are suited for employing the VB-H610VE, with financial, utility, military, government, airport, retail and casino gaming operations particularly well-matched. ONVIF Profile S conformant, the VB-H610VE is designed to triumph over the challenges of both the elements and adversaries in equal measure, thanks to its IP66 outdoor rating and vandal resistant dome.

Adding to the appeal of this camera is its ease in installation and exceptional low light performance. Canon VB-H710F Full HD Fixed IP Security Camera
The VB-H710F Full HD Fixed IP Security Camera is a fixed box security camera that offers easy installation and superior image quality, with Canon’s DIGIC DV III image processor. Its motorized zoom and focus allows you to view adjustments after installation. The 112.6 degree wide angle lens on the VB-H710F was designed to maximize the camera’s low light performance, allowing it to provide color video down to 0.3 lux and black & white video down to 0.015 lux. Nine levels of exposure compensation add to the image capture range.

This ONVIF Profile S conformant product offers an impressive assortment of sophisticated On-board Video Analytics, including Moving Object Detection, Removed Object Detection, Abandoned Object Detection and Passing Detection. You will also be able to program the VB-H710F with up to 20 digital preset positions and have the ability to create a custom tour if desired.

The VB-H710F’s powerful 2.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor provides images with vastly more detail than can be achieved by a VGA security camera, yet its sharper images can be streamed with the low bandwidth utilization and disk space usage thanks to the H.264 Codec, which allows video to be streamed at eight different rates, 1/2/3/5/6/10/15/ or 30/fps.

SDXC Memory Card compatible, the VB-H710F will hold an impressive amount of recorded video in card memory. This ‘plug and play’ capability ensures that integrating a VB-H710F into your existing network takes very little time.
