Smart lets you make LINE calls and chats for P10 with Smart Prepaid All-day LINE!
Filipinos naturally love long, fun chats and we most certainly love doing it on our mobile phones, whether through voice calls or text messages. With the boom of mobile messaging applications, mobile communication has become an even richer and engaging experience for mobile phone users. One of the most popular messaging apps in the country today is LINE.
The LINE craze is starting to sweep the country, with the chat app being one of the most downloaded free apps both in the Android and iOS smartphone platforms. Avid LINE fans go crazy over limited edition dolls of Brown, Cony and Moon - the cute line characters who appear as “stickers” that can be used to make messaging more colorful, expressive and exciting.
Filipino LINE users who enjoy calls and chats over the app can expect more, as the country’s leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) partners with the world’s leading mobile platform, LINE to bring exclusive offers to its subscribers.

Smart and LINE will work together in giving special treats to Smart subscribers who use LINE, through on-ground events and special promotional activities. Part of this is the launch of the special LINE data plans – affordable packages that ensure Smart subscribers will be able to continuously enjoy LINE services on their mobile, even without WiFi or full-service data plans.
“We recently launched the All-Day LINE offer for Smart Prepaid subscribers, to enable them to make chats and calls to more than 260 million LINE users here and around the world for just 10 pesos,” said Dexter Chan, Smart’s manager for Internet marketing. “For a very affordable amount – the most affordable package in the market, they can already take advantage of LINE’s features, whether they like one-to-one chats, group messaging, multimedia sharing, voice calls and even video calls.”
Smart Prepaid subscribers can text LINE10 to 2200 to avail of the said package for up to 10mb of access to LINE, valid for 1 day. All-day LINE chat can also be enjoyed by Sun Cellular subscribers, by texting LINE10 to 247.
“With our partnership with Smart, we are giving our users more than our applications’ features and services. We have exclusive offers and services to Smart subscribers to make their LINE experience more extensive and engrossing,” added Kim.
Smart is the first telco in the country to launch an official LINE account (SMART) where users can receive special announcements on promos and send their feedback for free. During its launch, the SMART account gave away hundreds of LINE dolls to its followers.
“LINE users have been asking if we are going to come up with Smart stickers,” said Chan. “The good news is, it’s in the works. So keep following the official SMART LINE account for more updates.”
The LINE application is available for free download for Android, iOS, Blackberry, Windows Phone and select Nokia Asha models.
