Smart Bro slashes broadband surfing rates for postpaid by half
Mobile leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), through its subsidiary Smart Broadband, Inc. (Smart Bro), is reducing the standard Internet browsing rate for its postpaid subscribers by half so users can enjoy more of the Internet without having to worry about paying a large amount on their monthly bills.
New and existing Smart Bro postpaid subscribers will be able to enjoy the new P2.50 per 15 minutes charging rate immediately without having to upgrade their plans or apply for the new rate.
Users will be charged the new Internet surfing rate once the monthly allocation for their subscribed plan runs out. This means that, for example, Plan 399 users will be charged the reduced rate of P2.50 per 15 minutes once they go over their 50-hour allocation.
“We are making it easier and more affordable for Smart Bro subscribers to access high-speed and reliable broadband Internet today. With this new standard charging rate for postpaid subscribers, they can enjoy more of what broadband has to offer at half the usual price,” said Michele Curran, Data and International Services Marketing Head at Smart.
The new standard browsing rate is available to all Smart Bro postpaid plans, except for Unli and LTE plans. Users will also be able to enjoy Internet browsing on their tablets or using their broadband devices confidently as they will still be covered by the Anti-Bill Shock guarantee.
Smart Bro currently offers the widest range of postpaid broadband plans in the market today, with subscriptions available for as low as P299 a month inclusive of 30 hours of Internet surfing time monthly, available through the Smart Bro Easy Application Plans.
