Alongside the Titan Pro, Cherry Mobile also launched their first Android smartphone to run on MediaTek’s MT6592 octa-core processor called the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2. For only Php12,999 (SRP), the phone will go on sale starting tomorrow (5 February 2014) at SM North EDSA. More details after the jump.
In addition to its octa-core SoC, the device feature an amazing 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display at 440ppi with OGS technology and Dragontrail Scratch Resistant Glass.
It also comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB), 18MP BSI camera with LED flash + 8 front-facing camera, 2,000mAh battery and according to Cherry Mobile, the Cosmos Z2 will be upgraded to Android’s latest OS Kit Kat by March 2014.

GPU is single core only??? Disappointing!!!
ReplyDeleteSirs please verify, is the GPU only a MALI-450MP?? This is only single core. We were expecting it would have at least 2 gpu cores to 4 core. Like Mali-450 MP4.

ReplyDeleteAll those specs, then the measly batt. Just how can someone make full use of it with that? This phone is rendered useless.
ReplyDeleteThat's probably one limitations of rebranding. One couldn't fully control the makers specs. Cheery couldn't increase the batt even if it wanted to otherwise adding 500 more mAh for a few bucks more wouldn't have hurt.
