Microsoft launches YouthSpark global contest

Do you have an idea that can spark positive change in your community? Here’s a contest you might want to join!

Microsoft recently launched the YouthSpark Challenge for Change, an online competition for youths around the globe, giving them a chance to share how they’re changing or how they want to inspire change in the world. Winners of the competition will win a life changing volunteer trip to the Amazon, a technology bundle which includes an Xbox One and a Windows phone, and $2,500 in cash to help turn their ideas into reality.

Contest participants must be between 18-25 years old. To join, just visit www.youthsparkchallenge.com and complete the entry form on or before March 5, 2014.

Everyone who enters the contest will receive a $10 donation gift card to support a project that inspires them on YouthSpark on Global giving. From the participants, 20 finalists will be chosen and invited to submit a two-minute video. Each of the 20 finalists will receive a Surface 2 with Office 365 University.

It provides me with a venue to share my ideas and actually gives me a chance to get rewarded for it,” said Jim Harvey Yu, blogger and Engineering student from De La Salle University – Manila.
