Widget City is bringing up the next wave of wearable gadgets in the Philippines
Widget City, one of the trusted online gadget stores in the country has just announced that they will be offering a bunch of wearable gadgets to expand their current offering of smartphones, cameras, laptops and tablets. Check out the initial list of products that Widget City will carry as well as their initial prices (subject to changes) after the jump.
Fitbit Flex - Php4,995
It has a simple display of 5 white LED indicator lights to show you how your day is stacking up against your goals. Fitbit’s trackers are the first all day activity trackers to offer Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, so you see your stats in real-time. It has Lithium-polymer battery and can last upto 5 days. The Flex is also the first water-resistant tracker; it can be worn while showering and swimming.
Cogito Pop - Php5,500
Cogito Pop combines fun and functionality to make the smartwatch a more natural experience for the user. The designer analog watch delivers, at a glance, essential notifications from the smartphone directly to the wrist.
Cogito Pop was designed expressly for the active, social and connected crowd. The watch acts as an extension of the phone, not a replacement for it. Users can customize settings based on their priorities and select which notifications they want to appear on their wrist. Vibrations and color-coded LED icons on the watch face can alert users when they have a call, an email or a message on social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and more. The easy-to-use interface lets users manage not just calls, but also trigger their camera, control their music and locate their phone.
The Cogito Pop watch uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE wireless technology and is compatible with the latest Bluetooth SMART READY devices. With enhanced water resistance up to 10 ATM, Cogito Pop alerts users to calls even in wet situations — under the shower, in the rain, on the beach and at the pool.
Pebble Smartwatch - Php7,990
The Pebble is a smartwatch developed by Pebble Technology and released in 2013 that was funded via the crowd funding platform Kickstarter. The Pebble is compatible with iPhones and select Android devices.
When connected to your phone, it is able to receive a vibrated alert to text messages, emails, incoming calls, and notifications from social media accounts, Facebook and Twitter. The Pebble can hold up to eight apps at a time, that can all be bought on the iPhone and Android app stores.
Sony SmartBand - Php4,290
The SmartBand is an innovative life logging wrist band that lets you keep track of everything you do – your movements, your communications, your entertainment. SmartBand is in constant contact with your smartphone via Bluetooth.
A vibrating alert lets you know if a call, message or other notification comes in. When you’re enjoying your music on the move you can play, pause and skip tracks using the SmartBand. Even when you’re out of range of your smartphone, this wearable technology saves information about what you do and automatically passes it on when you re-connect.
Update: Widget City is also teasing the new Razer Nabu on their Facebook page. So, stay tuned for announcements on the actual availability of that gadget soon.
