IBM to build Smarter Planet Ecosystem in the Philippines
IBM recently kicked off its Global Entrepreneur Program (GEP) in the Philippines, aimed to work with homegrown star-ups and entrepreneurs to help build the ecosystem for a smarter planet. To support the program, an IBM Global Entrepreneur Day was conducted recently at the IBM Innovation Center, UP Ayala Techno Hub, Quezon City attended by a mix of tech start ups, venture capitalists, business incubators and academics.
The IBM Global Entrepreneur Program is a WW initiative that opens doors and provides resources to early stage entrepreneurs looking to bring a concept to product and market. It offers technology and consultancy in the prevailing areas of cloud, analytics, mobile and social to develop solutions aimed to help businesses work more efficiently.
With IBM’s resources, global reach, and in-depth knowledge and experience with some of the world’s largest enterprise customers, it is uniquely positioned to help promising global entrepreneurs get started. Regular workshops, networking and enablement activities will be conducted by IBM to foster close collaboration and strengthen the local ecosystem of entrepreneurs, accelerators and IBM Business partners.
