ASUS Philippines has just launched a new and improved version of the FonePad 7 tablet. The latest version of the 7-inch Android device comes with the model number FE170CG and is said to be significantly lighter and thinner than the original model. For only Php5,995 (SRP), the ASUS Fonepad 7 FE170CG is initially available in Silicon Valley, Memo Xpress and other mobile dealers.

Apart from the changes on the tablet’s design, ASUS also cut back on some of its feature like its screen resolution (from WXGA to WSVGA), internal storage (from 8GB to 4GB) and camera (from 5MP to 2 MP). The rest of the hardware remains identical to the original version.
