Xerox now recruiting 400 professionals devoted to finance and accounting in Manila!

Recognizing the value of the domestic talent pool, Xerox is recruiting approximately 400 new employees to staff a new Center of Excellence dedicated to finance and accounting business processes. A job fair will take place on Friday, May 9th and Saturday May 10th to recruit and interview potential candidates in the Poolside Pavilion at Dusit Thani Hotel, 1223 Ayala Center, Makati City.

“A Center of Excellence is a core component to Xerox’s ongoing strategy to provide services and solutions that meet and exceed industry expectations, bringing added value to a business process,” said Xerox Vice President, Finance & Corporate Controller Leslie Varon. “This facility is devoted to supporting Xerox’s multiple finance and accounting practices worldwide.”

Leading this expanded capability is Abe Sarmiento, vice president of Xerox finance and accounting in the Philippines. He said that in addition to the current Xerox headcount of 7,500 employees in Manila and Cebu, the new facility is recruiting highly skilled and motivated candidates, including: accountants; accounting managers; financial analysts; financial managers; financial modelers; and contracts administration managers.

With almost 500,000 workers employed in the country’s financial and insurance sector (Department of Labor and Employment figure, Jan. 2014) and with more than 5,000 new certified public accountants in 2013, the Philippines is well-equipped to supply qualified professionals to meet the industry’s growing demand, said Sarmiento.

And with these figures exhibiting an increasing trend month after month, the opening of Xerox’s newest facility presents significant employment opportunities for the country’s finance and accounting professionals.

The new facility is located at 14F Tower B Two E-Com Building, Bayshore Avenue, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, Philippines.
