Lenovo helps AFP CMO School march towards the future with C440 Touch AIO PCs
The Armed Forces of the Philippines Civil-Military Operations (AFP CMO) School, which offers multi-dimensional specialized training on Civil-Military Operations, has chosen Lenovo’s computing solutions as part of its technology modernization program. The move is seen to complement AFP CMO’s modified and enhanced curriculum, making it one of the most advanced CMO schools in Asia.
“Our commitment to innovation continues with the delivery of the best products in the industry, giving institutions like AFP CMO School the competitive edge to actualize its organizational thrusts. Through our high-performing Windows 8 touch-optimized Lenovo C440 all-in-one (AIO) desktop computers, instructors and students at AFP CMO School can now experience new ways to access information, share ideas, and study in a more collaborative and interactive learning environment,” said Michael Ngan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Philippines.
Enhanced Classroom Learning and Administration Operations
Before investing in Lenovo personal computers (PCs), the AFP CMO School used bulky desktop PCs for its administrative operations. It also required students to bring their own PCs to the classroom, resulting in cumbersome instructor-student undertakings. The practice has also translated into additional burden and expenses for the organization due to unscheduled repairs, weighing down the school’s overall operations with inefficient computing processes.
Tired of grappling with these challenges, AFP CMO School purchased a Lenovo C440 Touch All-in-One desktop computer to assess if its price and specifications matched the school’s reliability, cost-efficiency, and space-saving standards. The school eventually purchased 32 additional units of Lenovo C440 Touch All-in-One desktop PCs for both classroom and administrative operations since its space-saving design complemented the limited classroom space. It also addressed the school’s connectivity, security, and power management requirements with its built-in antivirus, ports, integrated system recovery, and heat map features.
With touchscreen technology and Lenovo Motion Control, AFP CMO School’s lecturers have become more efficient for interactive classroom discussions.
“Lenovo C440 Touch All-in-One PCs have advanced features like an integrated 720p HD Webcam that tracks and auto-zooms on faces to enhance photos, as well as Lenovo Cloud Storage that protects, backs up, and synchronizes organization-wide data to boost AFP CMO School’s administrative and classroom operations. Its rich web-conferencing capabilities enable AFP CMO personnel from different departments to collaborate remotely with ease and to finish tasks according to schedule,” said Major Joan of Arc “Jo-ar” A Herrera of the Philippine Army, School Commandant, AFP CMO School.
Continued Forward March
Lenovo C440 Touch PCs have increased the AFP CMO School’s capability to carry out administrative and classroom activities in a faster and hassle-free manner. By leveraging on Lenovo C440 Touch PCs, the school is on track to actualizing its goal of enhancing it’s growth potential and competitiveness.
“We are happy to note that the C440 Touch AIOs work as hard as our students and instructors do. They have brought us enhanced productivity and saved man hours, which will eventually translate to lower operational costs in the long run. We definitely look forward to achieving quantifiable return on investment with Lenovo’s solutions,” said Herrera.
