Starmobile Roar now official, priced at Php4,690!
Starmobile recently unveiled the Starmobile Roar, a 4.5-inch Android smartphone with Noise Cancellation, Wave Controls and USB OTG connectivity. More about the Starmobile Roar specs and features after the jump.
The Starmobile Roar is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD slot), 2MP wide-angle front camera and a 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash.
The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and supports Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates, a feature which allows users to update their phones to the latest version of Android via Wi-Fi and without the need for a PC. It also has Starmobile Sync which allows you to quickly transfer Contacts, Messages, Calendar, and other data from your old phone of any brand to the device via Bluetooth.
Noise cancellation technology allows your caller to clearly hear what you’re saying, and Wave controls make it possible for you to control the phone without touching it. You can apparently unlock the phone by just using yur voice and you can watch video while using other apps via the Pop Out Video function.
The Starmobile Roar comes in two colors (dark blue and white) and is now available in Starmobile kiosks and concept stores for only Php4,690 (SRP). Also included in the box of the Starmobile Roar: Unit, Compact charger, microUSB cable, Screen protector, Phone case, Quick start card, Headset with mic, Battery and Warranty card.

im using this phone now. very good performance indeed. at cheap price youll get a 4.5inch quadcore phone with 1gb of ram, tried playing a lot of games including finak fantasy 4 and 6 and it didnt give me a hard time. no lags etc. my one concern is the camera performance although itll give a good camera shot when used in a broad daylight but if you used at night even with a bunch of light it tends to give a a kinda blurry shot. but over all performance was 8.5/10 for me!
