ViewSonic has just announced its lineup of Smart Client solutions today, which includes brand new Thin Client and Zero Client product offerings that enable users to access their desktop accounts from a PC server nearly anywhere.

ViewSonic’s Thin Client and Zero Client offerings feature a powerful yet tiny 0.6L design with space-saving options, such as an included mounting bracket for attachment to any VESA-ready monitor. Both categories are optimized and certified for use within major virtualized environments (Microsoft RemoteFX, Citrix ICA/HDX, and VMware PCoIP) as well. Users will benefit from overall ease of deployment, simplified management, enhanced security, better accessibility, and a lower total cost of ownership. Paired with TAA Trade Compliance and featuring flexible dual digital (DVI) output support for 1080p multi-monitor usage and a Kensington lock, ViewSonic’s flexible and cost effective Smart Clients also consume up to 80 percent less energy for a lower total cost of ownership, making them the ideal choice for meeting the networking needs of educators, SMBs, and enterprises alike.

Thin Clients –SC-T35 and SD-A245
The Windows-based SC-T35 discrete thin client endpoints are the perfect choice for either Citrix XenDesktop or Microsoft VDI implementations, providing desktop virtualization in conjunction with existing infrastructure – they can be mounted to any VESA-ready monitor. In addition, they support professional graphics applications and deliver a multimedia-rich desktop, with excellent 2D/3D graphics.
The SD-A245 is a 24" (23.8" viewable) multi-touch smart display client with 1920x1080 Full HD resolutions and a powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 1.7GHz processor. With Citrix XenMobile preinstalled, the SD-A245 is a completely locked down, secured, and fully-manageable device for your business. Versatile connectivity options include HDMI (MHL), RJ45, two full-size USB ports, a micro & mini USB, a SD card reader, a headphone jack, and a 2MP webcam with an integrated microphone for video conferencing. Zero Clients –SC-Z55 and SD-Z245
The ViewSonic SC-Z55 is the ideal standalone Zero Client adapter hat can be used in conjuection with existing displays. For applications that require greater desktop space savings, ViewSonic offers two Zero Client models with an integrated display.
The SD-Z245 supports 2D and 3D graphics-intensive applications and offers a rich multimedia experience at full frame rates over gigabit Ethernet. The DVI-I video output also easily accommodates dual display configurations for increased productivity. Additionally, the SD-Z245 is up to five times faster than previous generations of Teradici-based zero clients.
