Alcatel introduces OneTouch POP 2 smartphone and POP 8S tablet with 4G LTE and 64-bit CPUs
Along with the new OneTouch Hero smartphones and tablets, Alcatel also introduced at the IFA 2014 two new entry-level POP devices, the POP 2 smartphone, and the POP 8S tablet. More details after the jump.
Alcatel OneTouch POP 2: LTE made for all
In addition, it offers such useful features as one-finger zoom, a mini-apps application that allows use of the phone’s applications without even launching them, plus a feature that reads QR codes, using the camera function, and Wi-Fi display, which lets users send images from their phone to a larger screen.
The POP 2 is also available in a premium edition, with sleeker premium materials, in two sizes: 4.5-inch and 5-inch.
Alcatel OneTouch POP 8S: LTE connectivity at a smart price
The POP 2 family also includes an 8-inch tablet, the POP 8S, which features LTE speed at a smart price. Super slim and light, this 4G entry-level tablet adds a splash of color with its accessories and is perfect for streaming music, watching TV or browsing.
The POP 8S is the most competitive LTE 8-inch entry level tablet available to the mass market. At 7.9mm thin and weighing only 309 grams it is ideal for carrying in any backpack, satchel or handbag. Powered by a quadcore processor, the POP 8S allows seamless multitasking between gaming, streaming music or browsing. It comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera or 3MP rear camera to capture priceless moments on the go.
