GIADA releases the power-packed N70E-DR Celeron Series Server Motherboard
Giada has introduced a line of storage server ideal for storage applications. The GIADA N70E-DR stands out with its low power consumption, multi-media capability, storage expandability, data safety, and thus represents the perfect server and NAS motherboard for home and small/medium-sized enterprise. The professional server is ideal for applications in home-use DIY storage server, network storage server, video surveillance server etc. The compact and powerful Mini-ITX board design takes up only 17x17cm in space and sports micro server chassis for building your own NAS system.
The N70E-DR is powered by Intel Celeron 1037U Processor with advanced Intel 22nm technology, which features two cores, a clock speed of 1.6GHz and a total maximum TDP of just 17W. This makes it more cost-effective by reducing the power consumption and improving the performance. The chipset used on the motherboard supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, and 10 with data security protection. For extra storage space, the board features 6 SATA ports (2x SATA III 6GB/s, 4x SATA II 3GB/s) for high storage expandability up to 24 TB (~24,000 GB).
External connectivity is achieved by a pair of PS/2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports on the rear I/O, three USB 3.0 ports through a header, a COM port, VGA, and two Gigabit Ethernet ports powered by Intel's 82583V chip. The motherboard also includes ample I/O interfaces including one HDMI port, 1 x COM port, 2 ports for audio in and out and 1× PCIE 2.0 2X (in 16X slot).
The N70E-DR supports professional server operating systems like Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0, Ubuntu Server 14.04, Windows server 2012, 2008 and Novell SLES 11 SP3.
To build a great, but cost-efficient NAS server simply start with the GIADA N70E-DR motherboard and install a popular NAS operating system like FreeNAS, the most popular option for user-built NAS systems-a free, open-source project that is easy to use and provides the features most users need. With the N70E-DR, customers can achieve a low-cost implementation for file sharing, data backup and media server functionality.
