Globe Telecom hosts first-ever Clash of Clans grand eyeball
As part of its commitment to the Filipino digital lifestyle, Globe Telecom threw its support to the local mobile gaming industry and hosted the first grand eyeball of Clash of Clans gamers, players and enthusiasts in the Philippines.
A unique collaboration with the local online community of Clash of Clans PH, the event gave guests a chance to meet, interact, and play together with their fellow "Clashers" for the first time.
Held recently at The Globe Tower at Bonifacio Global City, the eyeball allowed attendees to enjoy various interactive activities from highly-detailed and wonderfully-decorated booths from Globe Prepaid, Globe Postpaid and Tattoo. Each area provided a complete and immersive experience, transporting them into the world of Clash of Clans, bringing to life familiar scenes and characters from the game itself. Premium game-inspired items were also up for grabs whenever a guest participated in any of the experiential zones.
Globe Senior Advisor for Consumer Business Dan Horan greeted the guests and even proudly showed off his own Clan and community of troops and buildings. Alongside Globe Vice President for Content Jil Go, they welcomed the founder of Clash of Clans P, Mark Balte. Together, they welcomed all Clashers and shared with them the premium surprises in store for the evening.
"Globe Telecom has continuously strived to offer the best services to our customers to serve their digital needs. The addition of mobile games such as Clash of Clans to provide a mobile experience rich in content is one of our many steps in bringing the Filipino digital lifestyle experience to the next level," says Go. She also extended an invite to all guests to participate in the upcoming Next Level Tournament for Clash of Clans in July.
Guests were also able to get special offers through the "Appy Hour," where participants enjoyed a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" promo for every purchase of gems for Clash of Clans.
Clash of Clans is part of the suite of free-to-play games bundled with GoSURF, the telco's consumable data plan that gives customers access to free content. Other games include Boom Beach, Summoners War, Soul Seeker, Candy Crush Saga, Candy Crush Soda Saga, Hay Day, Dungeon Hunter 5, Brave Frontier, and Asphalt 8: Airborne.
