Security Analyst Summit Conference back online this October 2020
Kaspersky’s researchers invite cybersecurity specialists to join them and their colleagues across the IT security industry at this year’s second Security Analyst Summit (SAS)@Home - due to take place from October 6th to 8th. In-keeping with the exceptional global events of 2020, the organizers have decided to hold the second SAS event of the year online in order to deliver more amazing SAS speakers and sessions to attendees’ own living rooms.
SAS is an annual event that has attracted high-caliber anti-malware researchers, global law enforcement agencies, CERTs, and senior executives from financial services, technology, healthcare, academia and government agencies, for the past 11 years. The SAS conference is a friendly space, where the world’s top threat hunters gather to discuss key global cyberthreats in an ever-changing world.
The upcoming conference will span three days, from October 6th to 8th between 3:00 to 6:00 PM (GMT+8), and will uncover some of the most urgent cybersecurity issues and trends that the world has faced during this turbulent year. The program will feature leading security researchers from different parts of the world. Presentations will reveal new, unpublished research, new threat research tools and techniques, and much more.
Attendees will receive exclusive access to the world’s leading cybersecurity researchers and influencers, be able to participate in chats, and enjoy a high-end program of topical presentations as has become synonymous with the regular SAS event.
Topics that will be covered include:
- Advanced persistent threats
- Threat hunting
- Emerging threats
- Vulnerabilities
“This year has demonstrated the importance of agility and adaptiveness in every aspect of our lives, including cybersecurity. We were also able to witness first-hand how important it is to exchange knowledge within the cybersecurity community– and this means that high-caliber online events with quality content remain in demand. While initially, we planned to hold a real-world offline SAS, the reality of our world dictated otherwise. Given these considerations, we chose to hold the second SAS@Home – with even more knowledge sharing, ambient chats, enlightening training sessions and incredible findings from the world of cybersecurity,” comments Sergey Novikov, deputy director of Global Research and Analysis Team at Kaspersky.
“The online version of SAS will be more accessible and encourage a wider security audience to join us. Aside from the regular crowd, we also invite young researchers, such as those who are just starting their cybersecurity careers and have never been able to attend a regular SAS before, so they are able to dive into the unique atmosphere that SAS is famous for,” adds Novikov.
