SYKES celebrates Customer Service Week, pays tribute to BPO frontliners
SYKES Philippines recently joined the global celebration of the Customer Service Week through a live online concert as its way of showing appreciation to its dedicated employees. Themed “Dream Team,” this year’s event highlights the importance of teamwork in providing outstanding customer service. For SYKES, its Dream Team is the key to a quick and successful transition to the new work arrangements implemented to observe necessary health protocols. CS Week is a celebration every October, created to recognize the valuable contributions of customer service employees across the world.
Like most events, this year’s celebration of CS Week at SYKES has gone fully digital.The BPO industry leader organized exciting virtual activities and promos that catered to both on-site and work-at-home employees of its Manila and Cebu sites.
To better involve SYKESersinthe week-long celebration, the company has strengthened its social media presence to engage more employees. They held the Dream Team photo contest, where the group with the best team photo won a cash prize of Php5,000. SYKES also created its very own Facebook profile frame and Facebook filter, as well as its own Instagram quiz filter, wherein a lucky SYKES who showed off the SYKES Dream Team spirit won a cash prize of Php3,000.
On the last day of the week-long celebration, SYKES held the Dream Team Facebook live event, hosted by VJ Ai dela Cruz, with moving performances by OPM icon EbeDancel and OPM band I Belong to the Zoo.To make it more fun for viewers throughout the stream, the event involved a Watch and Win Promo wherein two winners (one from SYKES Manila and one from SYKES Cebu) each bagged a cash prize of Php25,000. Employees working on-site also got surprise treats.

#SYKESSalute2020: A tribute concert to BPO front liners
As one of the industry players that managed to remain 100% operational during the quarantine period, SYKES also showed its appreciation to BPO industry employees, one of the economic front liners of today.
Prior to the CS Week celebration, SYKES Cebuorganized an online concert that is open to the public in salute to the collective effort of SYKESersand other BPO front liners during the pandemic.Hosted by actor-DJ Dino Imperial, the celebration was graced with performances by OPM bandItchyworms and singer-songwriter Daniel Ombao. To make the event more interactive, SYKES also held virtual games like the Trivia Game, SYKES Singing Bee, and Watch & Win Promo during the stream.
In the comments section of the live event, SYKESers expressed their gratitude and appreciation towards the company and its leaders. They were especially thankful for the management’s efforts in providing an excellent working environment and for holding an event that employees can enjoy during the pandemic.
