realme Cooling Back Clip and Finger Sleeves Unboxing and Hands-on

realme continues to dominate the mobile gaming scene in the Philippines since its entry in the market in 2018. To further strengthen its mission to be the brand of choice for Filipino gamers, realme releases two brand new mobile gaming accessories - the realme Cooling Back Clip and the realme Finger Sleeves.

The new mobile gaming accessories aim to be the ultimate companion for gamers’ play sessions, addressing a number of issues that arise during extended periods of mobile gaming.

Today, I was able to get my hands on both of them and I’d like to share my unboxing and hands-on experience of realme’s mobile gaming accessories. So, let's deal first with the realme Cooling Back Clip.

realme Cooling Back Clip

The realme Cooling Back Clip is a phone accessory that helps smartphones to stay at a manageable temperature. The accessory is designed to be attached to the back of a smartphone using spring-loaded clips with protective rubber mats.

Unboxing

The front portion of the pack shows the realme Cooling Back Clip in its glory while the model number, device variant, color, customer care details and two important key features of the Cooling Back Clip, are imprinted on the backside of the box.

You can also find the other features of the realme Cooling Back Clip on both sides. There is nothing to look at from the top and bottom portions of the box.

Inside the Box and Accessories

After opening the box and sliding its contents, it will reveal the realme Cooling Back Clip and underneath the matte plastic tray is the 1.8m long USB Type-C cable, thermal silicon pad replacement, installation instruction card and user guide with warranty card.

Walk Around

You will find the realme logo, RGB light effects and power button at the front. Apart from the realme logo, you will notice the gray logo of FlyDigi (there’s also one on the back), a known pioneer for mobile gaming accessories and realme’s partner.

You will find the USB Type-C port below which must be kept plugged in since the accessory does not come with a built-in battery.

The thermal silicon pad must be attached at the back of your smartphone.

The realme Cooling Back Clip is made out of matte plastic material, which is good since it does not attract fingerprints, smudges and light scratches.

Installation

In using the realme Cooling Back Clip for the first time, just place the silicon grease area as closely as possible to the CPU area of the smartphone for the best heat dissipation; it is usually at the top just below the camera module.

Then, connect the USB Type-C cable to the device. After plugging it into a power source, just tap the power switch to turn it on, indicating a blue light which means on. For the RGB light effects, just tap the switch above the power switch to turn on the RGB light effects.

The matching thermal silicon pad may wear out after the time of using it, and realme is kind enough to provide an extra thermal silicon pad out of the box.

Dual Cooling Technology

Designed with realme’s patented Dual Cooling Technology, apart from utilizing fan air cooling, the device also comes equipped with a semiconductor ice chip to enhance heat dissipation.

When powered on, the semiconductor ice chip cools the device fast, with a 7-blade fan that pushes cold air across the entire device and lowers temperatures inside and out. The realme Cooling Back Clip cools the device as soon as it’s turned on and maintains a temperature of around 25°C even after 40 more minutes of use.

Silent Noise Operation

The realme Cooling Back Clip operates 25dB low noise even at high speed so users can be immersed in the game without any distractions.

Modern and lightweight design

In addition to the cooling power, the realme Cooling Back Clip also comes with a stunning RGB light effects. The accessory weighs as light as 51g, features a 65-85 free stretch design and is compatible with various devices.

realme Finger Sleeves

Designed for people with sweaty hands, the realme Finger Sleeves are made with superconducting electric fiber boasting strong electrical conductivity, high sensitivity and smooth controls.

Unboxing

The front portion of the pack shows a cutout where you can find the realme Finger Sleeves while the model number, device variant, color, customer care details and six important key features of the Finger sleeves, are imprinted on the backside.

Superconductive Silver Fiber

The realme Finger Sleeves are made with superconductive silver fiber with 30% silver that achieves strong conductivity and high sensitivity. Compared to sleeves made with ordinary carbon fiber materials, realme Finger Sleeves are 6x more sensitive and 3x more silver content to ensure full responsiveness.

0.25mm Ultra-Slim Design

The realme Finger Sleeves are thin, measuring only 0.25mm in thickness. The material is cool and allows your skin to breathe, even in hot summer. In addition, realme Finger Sleeves are fresh and breathable. Ideal for people with sweaty hands, they are made with thinner silk thread and enlarged holes for natural antibacterial and deodorizing properties, offering higher breathability and comfort even after a long time.

Flexible and Durable Innovation

Made with Spin Covering Yarn Technology and a Four-dimensional Elastic Design, the sleeves are flexible and may stick to your fingers without the too tight feeling. By utilizing a One-piece Seamless Design and a Thermal Fused Seamless Interface, they do not pill or snag and can last up to 10 years.

Hands-on Experience

Testing both of these mobile gaming accessories on realme 8, I immediately had a very refreshing experience while playing my favorite game.

The realme Cooling Back Clip is very lightweight and I didn’t feel any additional weight on my smartphone. As to the cooling effect, it was surprisingly good and gets the job done; for as soon as I turned it on, it maintained a cool temperature even after 40 more minutes of use. Thus, you’ll never have to worry about lag or overheating.

The realme Finger Sleeves is perfect for those who have sweaty hands since there is zero friction between the finger and the screen itself; it allows smooth control from corner to corner for hours without disrupting gameplay. Also, the finger sleeves eliminated the fingerprint marks and smudges that accumulate on the screen which arose during extended periods of mobile gaming.

Price and Availability

Officially launching last May 28 on Lazada and Shopee, the realme Cooling Back Clip will retail for Php1,590 while the realme Finger Sleeves will retail for Php240.

Verdict

The realme Finger Sleeves and Cooling Back Clip are impressive additions to the brand’s TechLife ecosystem that aims to make every young Filipino to live more conveniently and efficiently. If you are either a casual or a serious mobile gamer with extended periods of mobile gaming, you should definitely get this mobile gaming accessory combo. It gives an extra boost of comfortability while playing with your favorite games to the next level.
