Makati Government, Grab Philippines launches Grab – Makati Vaccination Center
Grab Philippines, in partnership with the City Government of Makati, announces the launch of the Grab – Makati Vaccination Center to inoculate up to 7,000 economic frontliners starting today.
Grab Philippines and the Makati City Government launches its vaccination center to provide economic frontliners with a safe, organized, and convenient facility to help them to get inoculated against COVID-19, and boost the prospects for socio-economic recovery. |
Amid the rising COVID cases in the country, the Grab – Makati Vaccination Center provides an additional channel for economic frontliners to get vaccinated – providing them with greater peace of mind as they continuously support the daily needs of many Filipinos, and provide for their families.
“Vaccinating our economic frontliners requires a concerted effort from both the City Government of Makati as well as our community stakeholders, and this strategic partnership with Grab Philippines will truly help accelerate the inoculation of our economic frontliners. By getting more economic frontliners inoculated, we are helping protect the lives of many economic frontliners, and supporting many businesses to recover and thrive,” said Makati Mayor Abby Binay.
Located in Wilcon IT Hub in Chino Roces Makati, the Grab – Makati Vaccination Center will operate from Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and can vaccinate up to 400 economic frontliners per day. The Grab – Makati Vaccination Center will strictly cater to all vaccinees who have received their official confirmation from the City Government of Makati. The Makati City Government has equipped the Grab – Makati Vaccination Center with 14,000 vaccines, while AC Health will be administering the vaccination onsite.
The Grab – Makati Vaccination Center ladders up to Grab Philippines’ broader GrabBayanihan Vaccination Support Program which aims to increase vaccine access and education by leveraging its platform, technology, and network.
Apart from the vaccination center, Grab Philippines has also teamed up with the DOTR and the LTFRB on several ongoing efforts in encouraging more Filipinos to get inoculated. One of which is Vacc To Normal, a campaign encouraging Grab drivers and delivery-partners to get inoculated through special raffle prizes, rewards, COVID vaccination insurance, as well as vaccination education initiatives ranging from weekly stories featuring testimonials from vaccinated drivers and delivery-partners, weekly digests of BakunaFacts from DOH official resources, and live stream discussions with healthcare experts and local government units addressing concerns from the driver communities. As part of the Vacc to Normal campaign, Grab Philippines also launched Vacced Ka Na Ba? – a nationwide initiative that rewards vaccinated individuals with Grab promo vouchers every time they submit their vaccination cards via the Grab app. Apart from the instant promo vouchers rewarded to the participants, they can also get a chance to win up to PhP250,000 in their GrabPay accounts. And to support the vaccination efforts in Cebu, Pampanga, and Bacolod, Grab Philippines has expanded GrabCar Bayanihan in these three cities. “The pandemic has a profound impact on our economy and the wellbeing of our communities. Everyone needs to work together and concentrate on getting more Filipinos vaccinated – so we can achieve herd immunity and gradually recover. The Grab – Makati Vaccination Center is a key private-public sector collaboration, and we urge all our economic frontliners to grab this opportunity, register, and get vaccinated,” said Deputy Chief Implementer of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 Sec. Vince Dizon.
