MSC 2022 Playoffs Day 1 ended with solid 2:1 matches
The first day of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC 2022) Playoffs saw every team's hunger to put up a good fight. No team has dominated with a clean sweep in the best-of-three series.
RSG PH sent Myanmar's Falcon Esports to the lower bracket. The Burmese squad was considered a darkhorse after closing the doors for MLBB powerhouse Onic Indonesia to enter the playoffs. Yesterday, they were humbled by the MPL-PH champions.
On June 17, RSG PH, the most-projected team to win the regional tournament, will face Malaysia bet Orange Esports who also managed to secure another thrilling 2:1 victory against RSG SG.
In a surprising turn of events, Smart Omega composed of the defending champions and formerly known as Execration, stumbled after a nerve-wracking match against Todak. The team shut down Patrick "E2MAX" James Caidic's Julian in Game 3 to win the series. With a score of 2:1, Todak proved that they are a force to not be underestimated.
Meanwhile, Indonesia's pride RRQ Hoshi entered the upper bracket despite the gruelling match, with EVOS SG who eventually fell on the lower bracket.

According to Esports Charts, the MSC 2022 reached a 1.5 million peak-concurrent viewership and more than 300,000 average viewers. Playoffs continue today with Falcon Esports and RSG SG opening the 2nd day. See below the schedule:
