Team Philippines dominates first-ever MLBB tournament in the 12th ASEAN Para Games

The Philippines tops the first-ever Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Male tournament in the 12th ASEAN Paralympic Games. The historic MLBB esports competition was held at NABA Theater, Nagaworld 2, Phnom Penh, from 4-5 June 2023 with four participating countries namely Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and the Philippines.

Team Philippines edged Malaysia via sweep or 3:0 in a best-of-five (Bo5) series. The country's delegates were Marvin Angelo Rañon Ignacio, Joshua Gatela Detera, Ashly Josh Sisno Paghubasan, Jasper Lorenz Desingaño Ambat, and Mike Ace Chester Canoza Gonzales.

The team was headed by coaches Francis John Libranda Glindro and Vrendon Consul Pesebre who also led the SEA Games MLBB Male team this year.

Meanwhile, Malaysia settled for a silver finish, while teams Cambodia and Thailand are ranked 3rd and fourth place, respectively.

The first-ever MLBB tournament in the 12th Paralympic Games is considered a demonstration event which means that there will be no medals to be given to winning countries.
