realme 11 Pro 5G Full Review
Today, realme Philippines celebrated its Fifth Anniversary by officially launching the latest additions to its bestselling realme Number Series: the realme 11 Pro+ 5G and the realme 11 Pro 5G. The launch was held via livestream and showcased major advancements in design and technology.
In this review, I will be discussing the realme 11 Pro 5G smartphone. It boasts a 100MP camera with 2x zoom technology, a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G processor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC Charge. Our goal in this review is to provide you with a thorough analysis of all the features and capabilities of this smartphone to help you decide if it's the right choice for you.
Design and Walk Around
The realme 11 Pro 5G boasts a stunning design, much like its predecessors in the Number Series lineup. It features a Premium Vegan Leather Design, created in collaboration with Matteo Menotto, former designer at Gucci Prints and Head of Design for Prints at Bulgari. The design exudes luxury and feels great in your hand.
The realme 11 Pro 5G is available in three colors: Sunrise Beige, Oasis Green, and Astral Black. Apart from its striking design, this phone also has a polycarbonate body and frame. The Sunrise Beige variant weighs 191 g and is 8.7 mm thick.
The realme 11 Pro 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a pre-installed screen protector. The display is curved and double-reinforced for added durability, with a centered hole-punch 16MP camera on the top and a thin earpiece discreetly etched above.
On the back, there is a large protruding camera module that houses the dual-camera set-up and a single LED flash. The two cameras are the 100MP main and the 2MP depth.
The right side holds the standard volume rocker button and power button.
The top contains the secondary noise-canceling microphone and speaker grille.
Meanwhile, at the bottom, you can find the following: USB Type-C charging port, downward-firing speaker, primary microphone, and dual-SIM tray.
Display and Multimedia
The realme 11 Pro 5G boasts a large 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ (2412 x 1080) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate can go up to 360Hz and even spike at 1,260Hz for compatible activities, such as gaming. The AMOLED panel produces vibrant colors and can reach a peak brightness of 900 nits.
What sets the realme 11 Pro 5G apart from its competitors is its nearly bezel-less display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.65% and a narrow chin. It is also durable, thanks to its 0.65mm Double-Reinforced Glass that can withstand a 1-meter drop test.
For users concerned about excessive screen exposure, especially at night, the realme 11 Pro 5G has TÃœV Rheinland Certification for Low Blue Light and has a Flicker Free Certification.
The display also features Hypervision Mode with Video Color Boost that enhances colors in videos and Video HDR Boost that adjusts the phone's brightness for high dynamic range videos.
While the stereo speakers on the realme 11 Pro 5G are average and can get loud, the sound at maximum volume may become distorted. It is recommended to use headphones or an external speaker via Bluetooth for better audio quality.
Camera
Rear Cameras
As for the camera, the realme 11 Pro 5G boasts a dual-camera set-up—consists of the 100MP F1.8 main camera with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and uses an OmniVision sensor with 0.612µm pixels. There's also a 2MP F2.4 depth lens.
The quality of the main camera under bright lighting conditions is quite impressive, with good colors, sharpness, and details. However, in some situations, the dynamic range could use some improvement.
As for the 2x zoom quality, it is also decent, with sufficient colors, contrast, and dynamic range. Overall, the details are pretty good, and you can rely on it.
Under low light, the camera shoots good low-light photos and performs well in certain situations with the Night Mode feature turned on.
Front Selfie Camera
The front camera houses the lone 16MP F2.5 in-display selfie camera.
The realme 11 Pro 5G’s front camera produces good photos with accurate skin tones, especially in bright conditions. Background blurring for portrait selfies isn’t that perfect but good enough.
Video
For video, the realme 11 Pro 5G captures videos up to 4k@30fps with its main and 1080p@30fps for the front-facing camera. There is an electronic image stabilization (EIS) called Ultra Steady.
The recorded video from the main camera produces good colors, contrast, and dynamic range.
realme UI, Apps, and Security
The realme 11 Pro 5G comes with realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13. realme UI 4.0 brings enhanced performance, more seamless animation effects, greater privacy protection, and other cool features. Pre-installed are the standard realme and Google suite of apps, as well as some bloatware apps.
In terms of security, realme 11 Pro 5G is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for unlocking the device. Both work well---the fingerprint scanner is pretty fast, and the accuracy is close to excellent. However, the face unlock feature can slow down in situations where there isn’t much light.
Additionally, the in-display fingerprint scanner of the realme 11 Pro 5G can also measure the user's heart rate. This feature can be found in the realme lab section.
Hardware and Performance
The realme 11 Pro 5G boasts a very capable MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G processor. This processor is made using a 6nm process and houses two Cortex-A78 cores that clock at up to 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores that clock up to 2.0GHz. Additionally, the processor is paired with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
The performance of the realme 11 Pro 5G is buttery smooth, and resource-intensive apps have no problem at all. When it comes to gaming, it brings a smooth gaming experience and seamlessly supports a wide variety of games like Asphalt 9: Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and many more.
Furthermore, the realme 11 Pro 5G supports Dynamic RAM Expansion technology, allowing users to virtually expand their phone's RAM using the device's internal storage. With this feature, the device can utilize up to 8GB of its internal storage, giving it a total of up to 16GB of RAM.
In the Philippines, the realme 11 Pro 5G is available in a single storage variant of 256GB, with 233.1GB of available storage (22.9GB used out of the box). Unfortunately, there is no option for microSD expansion on this device.

Battery Life, Charging, and Connectivity
The realme 11 Pro 5G boasts a 5,000mAh battery that can easily last a full day with moderate usage without requiring a charge. According to the PCMark Work 3.0 Battery Life Test, the device scored approximately 15 hours and 28 minutes.
Thanks to the 67W SUPERVOOC Charge feature, the realme 11 Pro 5G can charge up to 50% in just 18 minutes or up to 100% in only 47 minutes.
The realme 11 Pro 5G also features deep software optimization such as App Quick Freeze, Optimized Standby, Wise Charging, Power Saving Mode, and Super Power Saving Mode, all of which play a significant role in extending battery life.
In addition to supporting 5G connectivity, the realme 11 Pro 5G also features Smart 5G Power Saving which allows the phone to intelligently switch between 4G and 5G networks depending on usage, thus conserving battery power.
The realme 11 Pro 5G also offers standard connectivity features such as WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and USB Type-C.

Verdict
Even with a slight bump in price compared to the previous iterations, realme has narrowed the gap between the two Pro series. The realme 11 Pro 5G impresses with its striking design, AMOLED curved display, solid performance, impressive 100MP camera, stereo speakers, and long battery life with fast charging.
If you're currently in the market for a new smartphone, I highly recommend considering the realme 11 Pro 5G. However, if you have a higher budget, you may want to consider the realme 11 Pro+ 5G as it boasts an even more impressive 200MP main camera, an ultrawide lens, 32MP selfie camera, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and faster 100W charging.
