TechLife Wireless Earbuds Unboxing and Hands-on
Ever since TechLife's grand return to Shopee on April 30, 2024, the TechLife Wireless Earbuds have become one of the best-selling products due to their affordability, quality, and simplicity.
Today, I had the opportunity to unbox and get a hands-on experience with this device. I would like to share my unboxing experience with you, as well as my thoughts and observations about the device. Let's start with the unboxing process, shall we?
Unboxing the TechLife Wireless Earbuds
The TechLife Wireless Earbuds come in a white box with the words "Wireless Earbuds" on the front. The back of the box contains the model number, color, customer care details, and six key features of the TechLife Wireless Earbuds. Additionally, the TechLife Wireless Earbuds branding is printed on both sides of the box.
Inside the Box and Accessories
After lifting the cover, you will see the TechLife Wireless Earbuds charging case protected by a matte plastic lining, a user manual, and a short Type-C charging cable for charging the case.
Design and Walk Around
The design of the TechLife Wireless Earbuds is similar to most TWS earbuds on the market, resembling the Apple AirPods. The pebble-like charging case is made of matte plastic, while the earbuds have a glossy finish, making them prone to fingerprint smudges. The entire setup feels well-built and sturdy, and fits nicely in the pocket.
The TechLife Wireless Earbuds are only available in white.
The front of the charging case features an LED notification and the TechLife branding. On the back, there is a hinge that reveals the same metallic rectangular pattern design with the earbuds. However, the case does not have magnets, so it doesn't close shut securely.
The USB Type-C port is located at the bottom of the case.
The earbuds, the left/right indicator, and the charging contact pins are found inside the charging case.
Upon closer inspection of the earbuds, you will find the touch control area and indicator lights inside the rectangular design. On the other side, you will find the tuning hole for the AI Environmental Noise Cancellation feature, and at the bottom, the charging contact pins and microphone are visible.
The touch control area of the earbuds supports several controls. A single tap answers a call, pauses or plays music, while a double tap skips to the next track. A long press on one earbud summons the Voice Assistant or rejects/ends calls.
Pairing
The TechLife Wireless Earbuds come with Bluetooth 5.1 and can easily pair with any Bluetooth-compatible device. They can also automatically switch between one or both earbuds for phone calls.
Here are the instructions for pairing the TechLife Wireless Earbuds:
When you open the charging case for the first time and take out both earbuds, you will hear a power-on prompt, and the blue light will stay on for one second, indicating that the earbuds are powered on.
Once the earbuds are powered on, they will automatically enter the Bluetooth pairing mode. To connect, simply choose “TLWEB01” from the Bluetooth menu, and your earbuds will successfully connect to Bluetooth. When powered on again, the earbuds will automatically reconnect to the last connected device.
In case of faulty pairing or if one of the earbuds is not working, just unpair the earbuds in your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Then, take both earbuds out of the charging case together and pair them again to solve the problem.
Audio Quality, Comfort, and Other Features
The earbuds offer good audio quality considering their affordable price. The bass is noticeable, vocals are clear, and you can adjust the volume as needed. They are lightweight and securely fit in my ears, staying put during various activities.
In addition, the earbuds feature a 13mm driver and 58ms latency, making them useful for gaming, video streaming, and real-time applications. They are also IPX5 water resistant, safeguarding them from water splashes, rain, sweat, and adverse weather conditions, thus enhancing durability during workouts and outdoor activities.
Battery Life and Charging
TechLife claims that the earbuds can provide up to 30 hours of usage when both the earbuds and the charging case are fully charged. Each earbud can last for up to 7 hours for voice calls and 6-7 hours with the volume at 90% or above for music playback.
As for charging, it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge both earbuds and charging case. The earbuds are also equipped with smart power management for efficient battery conservation and quick charge capability. This allows extended and continuous usage with several hours of uninterrupted audio playback day and night.
