This new year, realme Philippines has announced the launch of its first smartphone from the budget C-series: the realme C75.

realme C75 Unboxing and First Impression

This latest model is specifically designed for durability, entertainment, and productivity; targeting blue-collar workers such as manual laborers, construction workers, riders, and retail employees, as well as students. The phone features impressive specifications, including waterproof ratings of IP69, IP68, and IP66, a large 6,000mAh battery with a lifespan of four years, 8GB of RAM (with Dynamic RAM Expansion), and 256GB of internal storage. It also includes ArmorShell Protection and a new ArmorShell Glass, a 6.72-inch 90Hz FHD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G92 Max chipset, and a 45W fast charger.

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one, and I’m excited to share my unboxing experience and initial impressions of the device. So, let’s get started with the unboxing.

Now that I have unboxed everything, I will take a closer look at the physical features of the device and share my first impressions with you.

Design and Walk Around

The realme C75, like previous models in the C-series, features a sleek design called "Nature Power Design." The back cover has a cross-arc texture that elegantly displays dynamic light and shadow changes. The C75 is available in two colors: Lightning Gold and Storm Black. I had the Storm Black variant.

realme C75 Design

Despite its rugged features and large battery, the realme C75 maintains a slim profile, measuring just 7.99 mm thick and weighing 196 grams.

realme C75 Display

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.72-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400) IPS display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The display includes a centered hole-punch 8MP front camera at the top and a thin, discreetly etched earpiece positioned above it. Additionally, the phone comes with a pre-installed screen protector.

realme C75 Camera Module

On the back, there's a rectangular camera module that houses a dual-camera system, which includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, accompanied by a single LED flash. Initially, I thought there was a third camera, but upon closer inspection, I realized that it is purely a design element.

realme C75 SIM Card Tray

The left side of the phone features a card tray with a 3-card slot that accommodates two nano-SIM cards and a dedicated slot for a microSD card with up to 2TB of expandable storage. On the right side, you’ll find the standard volume rocker and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button.

At the bottom of the device is a USB Type-C charging port, a downward-firing speaker, and a microphone. Please note that the realme C75 does not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Hardware

The realme C75 is the first smartphone to feature MediaTek’s Helio G92 Max chipset, which is built on a 12nm manufacturing process. This chipset includes two Cortex-A75 cores, six Cortex-A55 cores, and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.

realme C75 Hardware

The device is equipped with 8GB of RAM and supports 16GB of Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE). It will be available in two storage options: 128GB or 256GB. The realme C75 runs on realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14, and offers a large 6,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC Charge technology.

In terms of photography, the smartphone features a dual-camera system, which includes a 50MP primary camera with a Flicker Sensor designed to detect environmental flickers and reduce screen flicker. This main camera is complemented by a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP in-display selfie camera.

Sample photos taken with the realme C75 have been provided, and a detailed evaluation of the phone's camera capabilities will be available next week.

Waterproof. Worry-proof.

According to realme, the realme C75 features advanced waterproof technologies and structural upgrades that provide protection against liquid damage. It comes with an IP66 rating, meaning it can withstand strong water jets from any direction. Additionally, with an IP68 rating, the device can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. The IP69 rating indicates that it can endure high-pressure water jets at temperatures around 80°C for limited periods of submersion.

Moreover, realme has introduced SonicWave Water Ejection technology in the realme C75—an industry first at this price point. This built-in active sonic water ejection feature allows the speaker to vibrate at specific frequencies, effectively ejecting up to 50% of the accumulated water from the speaker grills.
